HEAL Plus NM Youth Members are queer and trans young leaders aged 13 to 25. Youth members are vital to health equity work. Youth members bring their perspective on messaging and programing design for young people. Tobacco and sexual violence disproportionately impact young people, and prevention efforts work best in the adolescent years of life. HEAL+NM centers the experiences and expertise of young people about their own lives and finding solutions to health inequities.
